Detailed 7 Days Uganda Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at EBB (Uganda)
Arrival and pick up at the Entebbe International Airport (EBB) by our company representative. You will be transferred to a pre-booked hotel in Entebbe for relaxation and spend a night.

Day 2: Safari to Kibale National Park
Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning and later meet your safari leader for transfer to Kibale National Park in Western Uganda. Your journey begins from Entebbe via the Mityana-Mubende-Fort Portal route, a 6-hour drive.
At Fort Portal tourism city, a lunch stopover will be made, and you will continue to Kibale for evening relaxation and overnight stay.
At Fort Portal city, the legendary Rwenzori Mountains will be viewed in the background. As you proceed to the park, the scenic crater lakes and vast banana plantations will be viewed.
Kibale National Park holds a total of 13 primates, making it the primate capital of the world. The Kibale primates include 1500 chimpanzees, grey-cheeked mangabeys, l’hoest monkeys, olive baboons, blue monkeys, and colobus monkeys. Additional wild animals include bush pigs, blue duikers, warthogs, sitatunga, golden cats, mongoose, bushbucks, and many others.
Key locations/sectors in Kibale include Kanyanchu Tourism Center, Sebitoli, Ngogo sector, and the Central area, and more. In proximity to Kibale, there is Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, also a significant primate spot for you to find abundant primates and birds.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking safari & Queen Elizabeth National Park
Enjoy a hefty breakfast in the morning, and report to the Kanyanchu Visitor Center to be briefed on the instructions/guidelines for chimpanzee trekking.
Briefing starts at 7:00 am, and an actual visit to see chimpanzees begins at 8:00 am. You will be accompanied by the park guides, and this is likely to last for 2-4 hours, with one hour of magical encounter.
Return to the lodge for lunch and then check out, ready to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This park is found in Western Uganda, and you will get there via Kasese town. Enjoy the beautiful view of the Crater Lakes, the Rwenzori Mountains, and the park.

Day 4: Game drive & Launch trip -Queen Elizabeth Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park is blessed with wildlife, and your morning game drive will be carried out along the Kasenyi plains. This is an extensive game trail located on the Northern side of Queen Elizabeth Park, and diverse wildlife will be encountered during the 2-3-hour game drive.
The expected animal sightings on Kasenyi plains: large herds of elephants, cape buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, birds, lions, leopards, and more. Kasenyi landscape is breathtaking, featuring mainly vast savanna plains and demarcated loops for game viewing.
Return by around 11:00 am and relax at the lodge. Lunch will be served early so that you can catch up with an afternoon Kazinga channel boat cruise. The boat cruise on the Kazinga channel takes 2-3 hours, and expected sightings include large schools of hippos, basking crocodiles, and bird species.

Day 5: Ishasha Game drive & continue to Bwindi
Ishasha sector in the Southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park is another incredible spot for game viewing, especially if you are interested in seeing the tree-climbing lions.
Besides the tree-climbing lions, Ishasha is also popular for other wild animals, including waterbucks, topis, buffaloes, elephants, and birds –such as martial eagle, kingfishers, shoebill storks, turacos, fish eagles, and more.
You will leave your lodge for Ishasha, where a short game drive will be conducted, and later, you will be transferred to Bwindi to check in at the lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking & Batwa cultural tour
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is Uganda’s leading gorilla trekking destination, with 4 regions offering you the opportunity to start your adventure. These include Ruhija, Buhoma, Rushaga, and Nkuringo sectors, each region with habituated families. Before you set foot into the forest, you will get instructions or guidelines to follow, and a gorilla family will be assigned to you.
24 habituated families of endangered mountain gorillas exist in Bwindi, and each of them is visited by a maximum of 8 guests per day. The trek takes 2-6 hours, but it covers one hour for you to take pictures and explore the gorilla behaviors.

Walk back to the briefing point, and a gorilla trekking certificate will be given to you. From here, head to your lodge for relaxation and have a meal if you didn’t go with a packed lunch. The Batwa community visit will be done in the afternoon/evening, and you will be accompanied by an experienced guide.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Southwestern Uganda. A population of over 459 mountain gorillas is all contained in the scenic Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, accounting for part of its 120 species of mammals. Besides mammals, Bwindi also holds a total of 350 bird species, 1000 flowering plants, and several reptiles, butterflies, & amphibians.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi takes you deeper into the impenetrable forest, and adventures start from the 4 regions: Nkuringo, Rushaga, Ruhija, and Buhoma. These four regions shelter the 24 gorilla groups present in this Park. Other safari experiences to enjoy in Bwindi: birding & nature walks, gorilla habituation, Batwa/Bakiga cultural visits, etc.
