Day 1: Akagera National Park destination
After a hefty breakfast/pick up at Kigali airport and drive to Akagera National Park. Akagera N/Park is lying in the far Eastern Province of Rwanda 2.5 hours drive from Kigali capital. It is a 1122sq.km protected area, inhabiting all the big five game; antelopes, the Maasai giraffes, over 500 bird species, warthogs, and more. You will relax for the whole evening.

Day 2: Full-day wildlife safari Akagera National Park
Akagera National Park offers the best of guided big game safaris. Enjoy an early morning game drive in a 4×4 tourist car, and view a diversity of wildlife including buffaloes, lions, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, rhinos, birds, warthogs, and many others. Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking, canopy walk at Nyungwe

After breakfast and briefing, start your adventure into the wild to see mountain gorillas in Rwanda. This will be long, taking about 2-6 hours and 12 habituated families of these large apes are all open for visiting. A magical hour with them is included in the 2-6 hours of your trek. Later, walk back and you will be given a gorilla trekking certificate and then continue to the lodge. In the evening, there will be a cultural encounter at Iby’Iwacu village.

About Nyungwe Forest National Park
Located in Southwestern Rwanda, Nyungwe Forest National Park is home to one of Africa’s oldest tropical forests and over 13 primate species. The lushly verdant tropical forest park is one of the treasured Rwanda safari destinations.
Nyungwe Forest N/Park is found near Rusizi and Lake Kivu, in proximity to Burundi and D.R. Congo. The park sits in Cyangugu town and it was established in 2004 making it one of the newly created Rwanda safari parks. It began as a Forest Reserve in 1903 before becoming a National Park in Rwanda.

Volcanoes National Park Rwanda was established in 1925 making it one of the oldest African safari parks. The Park is named after the Virunga Volcanoes given its strategic location in the Virunga Region which is comprised of a chain of 8 volcanoes, 5 of which are found in this splendid Rwanda safari park.
The five volcanoes are Sabyinyo (3634m), Muhabura (4123m), Gahinga (3474m), Karisimbi (4507m), and Bisoke (3711m) volcanoes.
