Kanyanchu Tourist Centre lies in the Kanyanchu sector and is where most tourism activities in Kibale National Park begin. Visitors assemble at Kanyanchu to get briefed, a session that can last for only 30 minutes.

The common bird species to explore from the Kanyanchu sector include tropical boubou, red-rumped tinkerbird, green-breasted pittas, Abyssinian ground thrush, yellow-rumped tinkerbird, black bee-eaters, Ross’s turacos, African emerald cuckoos, and little greenbul.

Getting to Kibale by air involves taking a domestic flight from Entebbe Airport to Kasese Airstrip. In less than 1-2 hours, you can be at the Kasese Airstrip and get picked up by your driver guide.
